Then & Now
A Brief History of Our Farm
Where It All StartedWith plenty of grit and a whole lot of love, Round Mountain Creamery was founded in 2002 by Linda Seligman. Beginning with five goats and dream, our little big farm became North Carolina’s first Grade “A” Goat Dairy in 2008. Now with over 60 goats, we produce a wide variety of soft and aged goat cheeses for both home and wholesale use. |
Where We Are NowWe're proud to be a local favorite for fresh, flavorful cheese and a peaceful, scenic destination. Today, the creamery is owned and operated by Adam Jernigan, who brings a deep respect for the land, the animals, and the craft of cheesemaking. Under Adam’s care, the farm continues to honor its roots while offering visitors a chance to tour the grounds, meet the goats, and taste the cheese made right on site. |
Where We're Headed
We're proud of our roots, but we’re just as excited about where we’re headed. As we continue to craft our small-batch goat cheeses with care, our goal is to share them with even more people across Western North Carolina by expanding to new vendors and restaurants throughout the region. At the heart of it all are our goats, and giving them the best possible life remains our top priority. Whether you’re enjoying our cheese at a local eatery or visiting us on the farm, you’re part of our mission to grow with purpose: always rooted in quality, care, and community.
